Trot Festivities
By Friday I didn't know if I could tackle another night at the Turkey Trot, but Matt was with me, so we joined forces and had a GREAT Night. We started off at the camper to enjoy supper with Matt's family, then headed to the Trot for rides. We got our bracelets, although Izabelle was TERRIFIED of the bracelet, so we had to put it in her belt loop behind her. Poor Girl, she is terrified of public restrooms and no fair ride bracelets. Anyway, Grace meant up with a friend of hers to ride rides, while Iz and I went with Greta, B, and Kaycee. Izabelle made it through the 4 rides that were acceptable for her and that was enough for her. We meant up with Grace, Hailey, and Matt to watch Grace.
Grace rode to new rides now that she is tall enough...The teacups (or whatever it was) and the Scrabbler (she loved this ride). She had a blast with Hailey that is forsure. After the rides we headed back to the camper. Grace and Hailey continued their fun by going to and from each others' campers, while I got Izabelle ready for bed. We sat by the fire until she fell asleep, so Matt and I took Izabelle home, while Grace spent the night with Memaw.
Saturday was pretty much laid back, we stayed home until about 5, went and got my cousin Jacy to come with us back to the camper, had supper, the kids played on the playground, rode the golf carts, visited, saw some blogger friends (I saw some throughout the whole weekend), and just had a good time with the family. Matt and I took the girls home around 8ish for bed (Jacy watched them) so that Matt and I could have some adult time at the Turkey Trot. We had a good time seeing people we haven't seen in a while and talking to friends that we do see often.
Sunday, we went to church and back to the Trot for lunch and Pig Wrestling. Izabelle didn't like the pigs, Grace liked watching the teams gett muddy and trying to get the pig into the tire. We asked her if she wanted to do this next year and she said "No way". She did end up getting muddy, no harm done, Mommy just had to soak it for a while. By the 3rd or 4th team we were ready to go home. Miss Iz wasn't having it and was ready for a nap. Which was fine with me because Mommy needed one too:) Then later on we headed to the Truelove's for Small Groups, which is a blast.
Here are some pictures of our weekend at the Trot:

Ready for the Turkey Trot
The girls' and I just hung out the whole weekend. We met up with Patty and the girls' (& their guys) on Friday at the camper for some fun. We got there a little early, so the girls' and I played at the park. One of Grace's classmate was two campers down, so they were back forth to each other's campers. It was fun to watch Grace interact with a new friend, which happens to be a classmate of mine when I was in school. Izabelle and B were playing so good and I am so glad that they are starting to interact more with each other. Saturday we didn't do to much either, actually I really don't know what we did. We went to get dog food and when we got back Grace brought up a surprise convo, here is what was said.
Grace: "Mom, you need to get pregnant".
Me: thinking to myself, WHAT!
Me to Grace: "What makes you say that?"
Grace: "Well if you are in the hospital having a baby we would live you alone".
Me: Laughing to myself. Kids say the darnest things:0)
I guess she could tell that my nerves were starting to get shot by the end of the day.
When Matt got home from the tractor pull we were excited to see him and he never left his side. We sure did miss our man, Daddy Matt (according to Izabelle). I am sure he loved having all his girls surrounding him.
This week we are looking forward to the Turkey Trot. This is always a special time for me, because when Kenney Chesney was at the Turkey Trot back in '96 or '97 I told my cousin about Matt and that I had a crush on him (blushing). Now 11 some years later we are taking our children to the Trot, Ahhh, sweet. I know right? So, we will be enjoying the Turkey races, rides, family fun at the camper, mud volleyball, & pig wrestling.
Until Next Time

Lil Bit of This & Lil Bit of That
After our bike ride we got ready to head over to some friends' house for some much needed visit. We had a blast.
You know how you can hear a song and just start singing it and it will be in your head for the rest of the day. Well Izabelle has been singing this song since she heard it back in July and vacation bible school. She sings "SonRock Kids Camp", she sings it fast, slow, and even in opera style. It's hilarous. It is usually out of no where. While she walking down the hallway, eating, playing with toys, you hear "SonRock Kids Camp". Since then we have been catching her repeating other songs. Well yesterday when Matt's cell rang we hear her repeat the song "God is Great, Beer is Good, People are Crazy", I guess this is some country song that Matt likes. Then I hear on the way out to my parents' her singing along to the song "That's not my name" or whatever it is. Hilarious. I need to try and get her on video.
Oh, yeah. Yesterday I picked Grace up from school early to get her shots. She thought she was getting out of school early, not knowing that mommy was taking her to get her shots. She wasn't too happy, but it did make her feel alittle better that Izabelle had to get hers too, until she learned that she had to get 3 and Izabelle just 1. That wasn't fair she thought. Well, I know that we all don't like to get shots, but we pretty much had to hold Miss Grace down to get the alcohol on her. She's a strong lil booger. They did get candy necklaces for their pain that they endured. Poor Grace was still complaining of her legs hurting this morning. I am sure they stopped hurting once they were out at recess.
Well that was enough of This and That.
Have a Wonderful Day.
God Bless

Grace's Ice Cream Party
After pizza and ice cream the little girls were having fun playing in the sandbox, dolls, and just running around. Well Izabelle had fallen and got her knees all dirty, so we headed to the bath, so I asked B if she wanted to Bubbles, too. She said "yup", so off we went. Then Emily came in to see what we were all doing, so I stripped her down and put her in too. So the 3 littl girls had fun playing in the tub. It was fun.

Happy 6th Birthday, Grace
Alittle bit about Miss Grace: She is so tenderhearted and FULL of LIFE. She loves her family more than anything. She loves to draw and color. She loves that she is learning new things everyday. She gets soo proud of herself when she accomplishes new things and can't wait to let others know. She is not afraid to be by herself or play by herself (although mommy would love for her to play with other kids, she is not afraid to just be by herself). She can make a new friend from the minute she meets them and they are her Best Friend (even if she doesn't see them ever again). She is a wonderful daugther to Matt and I and is starting to realize that she is the daughter to the Almight Father. I love how her love for Christ comes out in the most awesome ways and I love how she is helping Izabelle learn about Christ as well. She loves to teach her little sister new things, some not the best thing to teach her, but it's not that terrible. For instance she taught her sister to roll off the couch onto the bean bag. But I love that good stuff she has taught her too, she got Izabelle to say I love you. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and start all over again.
Happy Birthday Grace. I love you!!!! Can't wait to spend the weekend celebrating your birthday with your friends and family:)
Until Next Time...
God Bless...
Jess
