15 Minutes of Fame...And we missed it.

Some of you have read the Robinson's Blog about the Baby Video Monitor Warning, if you have not here is the scoop:

Last week I got a text from Leah asking if we had a Baby Video Monitor, me thinking that she was asking if I had one for sale because of the yard sale coming up (this SATURDAY), I texted her back saying I did and that I was still using it. She texted me back saying that she meant that they had one but they could see someone's elses child and they thought it might be Izabelle (kinda felt embarassed), so I asked her what the child was doing and she said that she had pigtails and was screaming in her crib. That would be her, not that I was neglecting her or anything but we have been having a hard time getting her to fall asleep on her own as of late.

So, I went into Izabelle's room and turned off the monitor. Then Leah called me. At first we thought it was funny that they could see her, but then after awhile and I got talkin to Matt about it I thought it was really creepy. We never had any issues with our monitor except for an occasional static when the phone rang, but seeing other people through it we have never. I am glad it was Leah and Joe and not some creepy pervert.

Never thought anything of the situation after that until I missed a call from a number I didn't know right off the bat, it wasn't until Leah emailed me saying that NEWS25 out of Evansville just interviewed her and is featuring a story about the Baby Monitor and they tried to contact us to get our side of the story UGH!!!! We were not home, we were working. UGH, we missed our 15 minutes of FAME!!! But our house did make it into the story, hehe. I guess this is just another reason for me to be a stay at home mom, you never know when FAME will knock on your door;)
But in ALL seriousness, as a mother I would never want someone looking at my childern in a private setting ever, so I don't think I will ever use that monitor again.

I do need to say this that I am glad that Leah brought this story to life because I never would have thought that somone could have been watching my child.

Also, I am just kidding about the fame part, there will always be a part of me that would love to be famous, but that also comes with a price that I don't think I am willing to pay for.

Here is the link of Leah's interview, she did a great job:
Until Next Time
