Forgot to Mention about Izabelle's Misfortunes

Oh my...I can't believe I didn't post about Izabelle's misfortunes this past week. Last Tuesday, Memaw watched the girls while Matt and I went to the ball game. When got back to Memaw's I tried to upload the video of the dance, so that Memaw could watch it, when we heard Kaycee and Matt shouting "She's throwing up"...What??? Who??? We run in and Izabelle is just standing there getting sick (Sorry Memaw about the carpet). Remind you that she was just fine a minute ago, laughing, running around, and being herself. So, I ran her to the bathroom, stripped her close off and cleaned her off. Memaw of course had extra pjs, so we put those on her and waited to see if she was going to do it again before putting her in the van. I figured we were going to be up for the rest of the night, but to my surprise after rocking her to sleep, she slept throughout the night. Weird, uh????

Then on Wednesday, Matt came home to get something, so he came in to say "hi" to me and Izabelle (Grace was at Preschool). Well, I went to the bathroom and I heard a thump and a cry. Came out and Izabelle fell and busted her mouth. She was fine after a Hello Kitty ice pack was applied to her lip.

Wednesday Night (I know what else could happen) while I was at dance practice, I went to check my phone during break and heard it ringing. It was Matt...Here is what was said:
Me: Hey, What's up???
Matt: You need to get home!
Me: Why?? What Happened??
Matt: Just come home, Izabelle fell out of bed!
Me: Okay, be there soon.
Me to the Vikettes: I have to go home, Izabelle fell out of the bed...practice alittle more and you can go home.

At this point I thought she fell out of our bed. So, I rushed home (trying not to exceed the speed limit to much).
Ran inside into our bedroom and say Matt laying in bed with Izabelle fast asleep on his chest.
First, thought was wake her up, if she fell on her head she might have a concussion.
So, I picked her up, which of course she started to cry...

I asked Matt what had happened and he said:

I put her in her crib (wait she was in her crib) and I went back to our room to watch TV with Grace and I heard a loud "THUMP"...Ran to Izabelle's room and she was standing outside her crib.

At this point I was kind of getting nervous, so I sat Izabelle on the counter and started to look her over. No bumps or bruises on her head...She was following my fingers...No bruises or crying when I checked the rest of her body. Which turned to giggles when I got to her tickle spots. So, I knew she was fine. I rocked her to sleep and she slept all night.

Thursday Night: What else??? She woke up with a cough (I posted about this in my last post) in the middle of the night, we stayed awake and played for 2 1/2 hours and went back to bed. Then Friday morning we went to the Dr.'s Nurse Practioner and she has the Croup Virus (after 3 days of antibiotic she is fine).

Sunday: I swear, I am not neglecting my childern...us girls are not that graceful...ask Matt, we are always tripping or running into something (we blame our imaginary dog for tripping us). Anyway, we are getting ready to go to Nana and Papaw's she slips and hits her head on the corner of a wall. Gets a goose egg (not big) on her noogin, along with a tiny bruise. Mommy to the rescue with lots of hugs and kisses.
Then later in the afternoon she throws a HUGE fit and I try to pick her up and she does the "stiff, straight out" move, I lose the grip and back she goes against the toy box. After a few "SCREAMS", she is fine when our HEROS Papaw, Grant, and Daddy rescue us with what else, FOOD, with our favorite of course, PIZZA and breadsticks. So, that made it all better.

As for this week, we have been injury free, she still has a lingering cough, but all is well.

Now for Grace and Matt, they both have colds, so hopefully it will run its course with no problems.

Until Next Time...

God Bless...

Jess

It's so comforting to know that my kids are not the only ones with consistent bumps/bruises/illnesses. We really are good moms...I think.

Your poor little girl...she just had a rough week!! Antibiotics are amazing and glad she is doing better.

Poor thing, I know how she feels. I am not the most graceful either. I was hoping Makenna would be but doesn't look like it yet!

I would love to see the video of the dance Saturday night. I spaced it and didn't even take pictures.
