My True Color...Blonde

It has been a couple of days since I have posted anything and I can't believe I am going to post about this, but I did tell Matt this was "TOTALLY" Blog worthy. Just a good for a laugh, just one:) I will post more at a later date (especailly the video of the Vikettes performance at the BR vs. Loogootee game, which they did a great job).

I have been off of work for a couple of days and my mom called me to come and clean her house on Friday. I took the kids to the babysitter and I headed out to their house. Well instead of taking the highway, I decided to just cross the high way (the road across from Odon/Cannelburg road), you know the road, the one with all the coal trucks.

Well, I saw something in the distance what seemed small enough for me to stradle, since there were coal buckets coming, I could not dodge this. So, I did my best to miss it, but instead I think it nipped my tire and hit the bottom of the van. So, I pulled onto Old Hwy 50 and checked my tires, no damage, so I decided to take a look underneath. And what did I discover, fluid flowing from somewhere. I touched the ground and smelled the fluid (I know, gross) and it was gas. So, I tried to call Matt, no answer, so I called Jake and he said he would come and check it out. Well, at that point the gas was coming out alittle more, so I pulled into the next driveway, so it wouldn't be anyone's way. And Jake took me back to the shop.

Matt was there and I was so SCARED to tell him what had happened, because I figured it would get mad. To my SURPRISE, he wasn't, so we left to go back to the van for him to check the damage himself. The first thing that came out of his mouth. "WHAT DID YOU HIT????"...Um, it looked like some kind of wood, but I think it was metal. Oh, my!!!! There was a BIG dent in the gas tank. So, we called Kevin to see what if we could get it in to get fixed and had the wrecker to pick it up.

Below are the pictures of my poor van being hoisted up on the wrecker:

The dent in the gas tank...It should be straight across but you can see the BIG U in the middle
Starting to load her up.
Poor Girl
You really can't see him, but Matt is in the drivers seat. Being Silly.
So, the van will be in the shop for maybe throughout this week and possibly next week, depending when the part (the gas tank) will get here.
For now, me and the girls will be driving Daddy's Truck.
Oh, I am taking donations for the Blonde Fund...Just in case I show my true colors again...Just kidding:)
Until Next Time...
God Bless...
Jess
