Helping Hands & Princess Birthday Party

WHEW!!! I really wish the weekends would go by slower; we had another wonderful weekend enjoying time with family & friends. Friday we started by going to my mom and dad’s to help my mom for the afternoon. Matt and Shawn (our neighbor) started building a fence around our corn, last summer the squirrels I guess thought they were going to starve and ate most of our corn, so this year the guys were not going to allow that to happen. Izabelle and I pulled some weeds, while Grace was inside enjoying a movie in the cool house. Well Izabelle & I decided we just need to go in and visit Audrey and her girls, which was nice to get a chance to talk to her and get some advice. Then we ended up outside watching the guys finish up their project. Grace eventually ended up coming over and playing with the girls. Then it was time for baths and bedtime.

Saturday we headed to my brother’s to help wipe down the walls and start priming the walls to get ready for paint. Grace and Izabelle were not that interested in wiping down the walls so they went inside the van to watch a movie. After the walls were all wiped down, we headed home to get ready for Alli Jo’s Birthday Party. The girls were EXCITED to wear their princess outfits and visit with their neighbors. We ALL had a BLAST. The girls enjoyed the food, cupcakes, and of course the bouncy castle they had. Then Grace and Hunter decided that Grace needed to spend the night. It is so great to see Grace having such great friends at such an early age. I am glad for that. We ended back at Shawn and Audrey’s to watch Shawn release some fireworks. They weren’t too loud so the girls really enjoyed it.

After church we got Grace, changed into some work clothes, made a picnic lunch and headed back out to Grant’s to paint. By time we got there they were already in the living room priming so us girls picked up our rollers and started painting. The girls soon got tired, so my mom took Izabelle with her and my dad to pick up the tractor. Grace stayed with us and just played around the house. Once we got to a stopping point we headed to Memaw and Papaw’s for supper. Then it was time to head home for baths and bedtime and get ready for the work week.

I am hoping everyone is enjoying their summer and I CAN’T believe that this is the LAST day of June. Where did it go???? I am really hoping that July is a little slower; I am NOT ready for Grace to start Kindergarten:(
