Parties!!!

Friday night we celebrated Gracie's 5th birthday with a "pretend" slumber (basically a sleepover without the sleeping over part). She had a lot of fun. Her friends came with their sleeping bags, pillows, and in pajamas ready for the slumber party. This was Gracie's first slumber party, so she was excited and I believe that this was the first for most of the little girls, too. Jamie and Jennifer painted toes and fingers, while Matt and Joe went to get the pizza. We ate pizza, cupcakes, opened presents, they played, watched the new Disney Little Mermaid movie (in the dark), ate popcorn, and danced. The excitment the girls had just laying in their sleeping bags, waiting for the movie to start.

Gracie had two little girls that stayed after the party in hopes to spend the whole night, but for one little girl, she decided that she just needed to go home and sleep in her own bed. So, at 11pm I called her mommy. Maybe next time.

This is going to be an everlasting memory and I thank everyone that was part of it.
Gracie received all sorts of neat toys and we have been busy all weekend opening them up and playing with them, over and over again.

I will try to post pictures of the slumber party, when I get home tonight.

On Sunday, we had another birthday party for Gracie with her Nana and Papaw, Memaw and Papaw Jake, Aunt Tina, Uncle Jason, Tristan and Emily, Amanda (my brothers girlfriend), Aunt Kaycee and Adam, Aunt Greta, Uncle Rob, and Brynnlee. It was great to spend Sunday afternoon with everyone together. We enjoyed a great lunch (me being the cook, which is a treat in itself because I really don't cook much), cake with homemade ice cream, and then Gracie opened up more presents.
I have pictures of this day too.

Well, Monday we decided just to stay home and rest, but about noon Aunt Kaycee called and wanted to know if we wanted to go swimming, so off we went to the pool. Matt and the girls enjoyed the pool, while I just sat by and enjoyed their quality time together. We were there for about an hour, just enough time for Izabelle to get restless and wanting to go in the pool by herself. And I ended up wet and kind of a grouch, so we headed back home. Izabelle took a nap, Grace and I went to Wal-Mart to take things back. After that Matt went to the ball field to play softball with his softball team. Whew!!! Just go back and looking at the stuff we did this weekend, maybe tired all over again.
