Loving the Weather

Oh, I am sooo loving this weather we are having. I love the cool, crisp air, and the leaves changing colors. We decided to try to enjoy as much of this weather as we could. Gracie was on Fall Break, so on Friday we decided to go to the Library, go to the Park and take Daddy some lunch. Grace and Izabelle had such a wonderful time, not to mention Mommy. I love just being goofy and try to be a kid again. By time we got home we were exhausted. Izabelle took a 3 hour nap while Grace and I got stuff ready for our Yard Sale. Mentioning the Yard Sale we had some buyers but overall was a total flop. So, I am having it again on Friday and Saturday, this time I won't forget to post it in the newspaper. Saturday, Matt was working that morning, so after he got off work we went to Lark Ranch. We have never been there before, so we didn't know what to expect when we got there. For those that haven't been there before, bring $$$$, because you pretty much have to pay for everything. Gracie of course wanted to do everything. So, she rode the barrel train (whatever you call it). Then we went to see the Farm Animals, which were goats, geese, and chickens. Matt was hoping for some cows or more farm animals. There were other little activities that they were able to do. They had this huge slide, a tractor made out of wood that you could climb on, which a wood wagon behind it, and of course the CORN MAZE. We had a blast in there. Of course we let Gracie lead the way. She kept asking Matt if he had the map and to make sure we were going the right way. After a few trial and errors, Grace decided that she needed the map and not Daddy. She looked at the map and said "Dad, you had the map upside down". Well, I guess that is why we were getting lost. Izabelle really didn't care to much of the maze itself, but she loved picking up the kernels off the path and the corn cobs and chewing on them. After we finally made it out of the maze, we were all hungry and Matt was going to treat us with a Funnel cake, but the wait was 30 minutes, so we decided to go to Diary Masters (my favorite place). We ate, played some at the house, then headed to Wal-Mart to get a few things. Came out with more than what we went in for. You can't go to Wal-Mart with out seeing people you know. I saw a lady and her daughter from my work, then Matt saw our future neighbors, the Sanders, on the way out we hear a honk, and GRACIE. We turned around and sure enough it was Shane our Babysitter's little boy, yelling at Grace. So, we stopped and talked to them for a bit. And headed home. Sunday, we went to church, came home, ate lunch, took a nap, Matt went hunting, and the girls' and I went for a walk, and played outside before supper. Grace has a Dora the Explorer battery powered jeep (1 seater) and Izabelle loves to crawl in and out of it. So, I got it out and Grace took off in it, I went into the garage and I hear laughing, came out and I saw Gracie holding Izabelle and driving the Jeep. It was to funny. They were laughing so hard. Well, then Grace decided to lay her on her lap and drive like that. Well that didn't work to well. Then Grace put Izabelle in and sat in the back of it and pushed Izabelle's foot down to make it go. I couldn't help but laugh and help them decide what would be the best way to drive this thing with two people on it. After that, we played pretend. We pretended to be on an Island and jumped into the water and went swimming. Now, it's Monday and have to WORK:( I am looking out my window wishing the day would go by fast, so that I can go home to enjoy the Fall weather with my family and go to Dance practice. Lake Rudolph

This past Saturday we went to Lake Rudolph to spend time with Matt's parents and sisters at the camper. Each year in October Lake Rudolph has Halloween Activities for the campers and then in the evening they have Trick or Treating, where you go to each campsite and Trick or Treat. It was really fun. My girls dressed up: Gracie as Dorothy and Izabelle as the Cowardly Lion. Then Brynnlee dressed up as a Lil Skunk. Here are some pictures of the event:

My Calling...Dance????

Most of you know that I am the Dance Coach at my old high school. I am so excited for this season. This year we have about 14 amazing girls that signed up and I have so many ideas and songs that I don't know what to do with them. Having a larger number this year then the past years is going to be interesting because I can make more formations and different choregraphy. I love Dance and love my team. I know this year is going to ROCK!!!!

Going by the title of this post...I have always wanted to extend my dancing to teaching others...I even have a Dance Studio in my basement (unfortunately it is still unfinished...I am blaming it on Matt). Dance is my passion, to be able to express yourself through dancing and watching others do it, you are able to feel that expression is amazing.

Well, I was contacted a couple of months ago by lady that had two daughters that moved back to Indiana and they did Worship Dance. For those that don't know what Worship Dance is: expression of pressing into an ever deeper relationship with God, our Father.
I have never did this sort of thing and was a bit apprehensive. It ends up that the girls are doing a Christmas program for their church and they asked me to help. I was so honored, excited and scared. I knew that I wanted to do this, but I again was apprehensive on how to handle all of my other committments. I did a lot of praying to make the right decision/right direction and it just felt right.

We ended up meeting last week and I watched a DVD that she had brought of her girls' dance program and was in "Ah". I listened to the song that they wanted me to do which is by Casting Crowns titled East to West. The title is from Psalm 103:11-12...As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
I was very touched by the meaning. They lefted the CD with me and while the my girls were eating their snack, I turned on the song and was flooded with inspiration. So, yesterday they came over to see what I came up with and they liked it. I was so pleased because I didn't know if I was on the right track or not.

Now I am in full swing of making up a dance for the Dance Team and a Worship Dance (maybe 2). I am very excited!!! I wanted to just share this news and excitement.

I was Tagged

I was one of the LUCKY ones that was tagged to play this new "game" being play on the blogs...I have to list 6 random facts about myself / my family...Oh, boy...Hopefully I won't bore you to bits.

1. I love to Dance...I am actually the Dance Coach for my high school dance team (love ya girls)...The only thing is I don't like to dance on the dance floor at gatherings of any kind. I would rather just watch and catch up with the lastest family/friend news.
I know crazy, uh? Maybe it's my way of keeping my dance skills a secret.

2. Okay...I am already stuck...I love Soap Operas...All My Childern, Days of Our Lives, and used to watch Passions (NBC) until they were moved to Direct TV:( Have them all DVRd and watch them when the kids are in bed.

3. I love to make hairbows, but trying to find time is hard to do (I guess I need to do them when I am watching my Soaps.

4. I would one day like to be able to run a marathon...but that would have to include running and I don't like to run unless being chased. Sad, uh??

5. I love to shoe shop...if I only had the $$$$...I guess that is why I go to my mom's and steal her shoes.

6. Last one...I can't believe I am admitting it for everyone to see...this might be a surprise to some of ya or maybe not. Okay here it goes...I am sometimes the biggest airhead around (just ask my family, they are usually are the lucky ones to see this rare occurance)....And I am not talking about just the "duh" moments, but the moments that people just look at you and just bust out laughing. Here are some embarrassing moments I have had. This was in high school...Matt and I were double dating with two of our friends. They were already outside waiting on me, I was coming down our deck stairs heading to the truck and I slipped (it was raining outside) and slid the rest of the way down. I got up, brushed myself off, and went on my way. Got in the truck (with everyone laughing) and said "Did you see that dog?" Of course no one did.
Another moment...we (a co-worker and I) were headed back from picking up lunch (I was driving) and we were just chattin away and within maybe 10 minutes into the trip, I stopped talking and looked at her and said "Where are we going??? Did I miss my turn??" We weren't even close to the turn off, I just forgot where we were going.
Yeah, that bad!!!

As you can see we had an eventful night. Of course Matt didn't know that we were going to do this until I sent him a before picture and an after picture to his phone. Of course he called me right back and said he loved it. Whew!!!

As for Grace, she loves her new hair cut and is able to comb it a lot easier. She definitely looks a lot older:(
